“Present for duty”, Hammerman’s hammer strikes your forehead as hard as it can. It’s the only plausible explanation for this wine’s brutal and stunning attack, which starts with strong sensations acquired from Cabernet Sauvignon and Dornfelder. But as the Institute of Corrective Researches will succeed to “cleanse” man from the hardships of inhumanity, Fetească Neagră /Black Fetească/ and Shiraz get immediately involved in order to heal the initial shock and amend the abusive action of the two “fames”. After some sips – it’s impossible to appreciate the “whole” from the first one! – meant to change the liminal levels of perception, the wine redefines and recomposes itself, and the fragments are coherently reset just like the puzzle pieces. Nuances of black forest fruits, of black teas and black cherries are born. In the next step, these dark sensations are enveloped in a smoked-plum tint, conferring the wine softness and caramelizing tones, so that the finish could concentrate, in a perfect inner logic, the dark chocolate and the pure cocoa powder, with vague glycerol additions, in a persistent aftertaste revealing few, but very expressive spice nuances.
