At the 150th anniversary since the establishment of the Romanian National School of Beaux-Arts, the National University of Arts (NUA / UNA) in Bucharest and the Oprişor Winery launch a limited edition of 150 art-and-wine bottles. The edition-collection is packed in 50 boxes of 3 bottles each.
Reproducing some works from the National University of Arts’ Museum collection in Bucharest, the bottle labels show the three directions this important Romanian education institution has followed – drawing, painting and sculpture:
Gheorghe Ioanid – Study of a Nude, 1864
Dimitrie Serafim – Portrait of a Woman, 1878
Carol Storck – Portrait of Theodor Aman, 1892
Initiated in an important anniversary moment, this art-and-wine project is the first step in the partnership concluded between the National University of Arts in Bucharest and the Oprişor Winery.
The benefits achieved by selling the 50 boxes will be wholly granted to the students and graduates of the University, both in the perspective of value increasing and as an acknowledgement of the role their education and academic artistic training enjoys.
