CUPOLA SANCTIS
SFINȚII PETRU ȘI PAVEL

The fully-praised Holy Apostles Peter and Paul are often called the first of Christ’s disciples to give clear expression to their faith in Lord Jesus’ Gospel.
Simon, Saint Andrew’s brother, was a poor fisherman in Bethsaida, baptized Peter by Saint John in the River Jordan. While John was imprisoned, Jesus summoned Andrew and Peter to Him, and the two of them followed Him. After the Ascension, Peter preached the Gospel in Judea, Antioquia, Pontus, Galicia, Asia and Bithynia. In Rome, through his miracles, he defeated Simon the Sorcerer (the Magus), arousing Nero’s anger, who ordered Peter’s crucifixion.

The life of Peter, who denied Jesus three times in the same night, and that of Paul, who killed Christians, shows  Lord’s incommensurable power of forgiving. Their deeds remind us that confidence and kindness do exist, that we are offered a second chance and that nothing can prevent our return to Light.
We celebrate these two pillars of the Church on the 29th of June, the day of the year 67 when Emperor Nero beheaded Paul in Rome.

Saints Peter and Paul is a blend of Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, which develops bold notes of spices, dried plums, chocolate and accents of berries, spices, vanilla and butter. Dense and velvety, with pleasing and elegant tannins, the wine has a friendly structure but also a depth that dries you to the sensation of spice and wood. Its structure indicates that wine has good potential for evolution and aging.
